Update Instructions for Si Series V4.2 build 3

NOTE: V4.2.3 is compatible with all Si1, 2 or 3 consoles including the ‘PLUS’ 
variants; the software MUST NOT be installed on Si Compact series consoles.

01. Download the ZIP files from www.soundcraft.com and unpack the three files

       readme.txt
       info.xml   
       Sibuild.bin


02. Copy the .BIN and .XML files to the root directory of a USB key

03. Switch the console off using the 'SYSTEM ON/OFF' button.

04. Power down at the back, using the power switch.

05. Turn power back on, using the power switch.

06. Front panel 'SYSTEM ON/OFF' button should be flashing ON and OFF slowly.

07. Press and hold 'SYSTEM ON/OFF' button for approx 5 seconds - it will 
stop flashing and then a touchscreen window will appear, requesting you 
to insert a USB stick and press the 'MENU' button.

08. Insert your USB stick and then press the 'MENU' button.

09. Locate info.xml using the ADJUST wheel - you might need to open a 
folder on your USB device by means of a push action on the ADJUST wheel.

10. The 'LOAD' button at the bottom right of the touchscreen window will 
appear when a correct selection is made.

11. Press the 'LOAD' button. Software will begin loading.

12. Wait until both progress bars have reached 100%, and the 'tick' 
symbol has appeared to the right of each progress bar, before removing 
the USB stick.

13. Clear the SD card as described below if upgrading from software prior to V4.n 

NOTE: Clearing the SD card will erase the current show and all settings on the 
console; these must be backed up to a USB key before clearing the card or installing 
the V4.2 build 3 software if you wish to continue using this show.

CLEARING the internal SD CARD - THIS IS REQUIRED WHEN 
UPGRADING TO 4.2 build 3 from a version earlier than V4.n

01. Switch the console off using the 'SYSTEM ON/OFF' button.

02. Power down at the back, using the power switch.

03. Turn power back on, using the power switch.

04. Front panel 'SYSTEM ON/OFF' button should be flashing ON and OFF slowly.

05. Press and hold 'SYSTEM ON/OFF' button for approx 5 seconds - it will stop 
    flashing and then a touchscreen window will appear, requesting you to insert 
    a USB stick and press the 'MENU' button.

06. Press and hold the 'MENU' and 'CUE LIST' buttons, then press the '1' button 
    in the 'USER DEFINED (1-8)' button section.

07. The touchscreen will display a window that has a 'FORMAT SD CARD' button at 
    the bottom right, press this button once to clear the contents of the internal SD CARD.

NOTE: Clearing the SD card will erase the current show and all settings on the 
console; these must be backed up to a USB key before clearing the card or installing 
the V4.2 build 3 software if you wish to continue using this show.


08. Restart the console by pressing/holding the 'SYSTEM ON/OFF' button, and then pressing
 this button once more.
